- Nozzle Temperature: 230ยฐC – 250ยฐC (Ideal: 240ยฐC)
- Bed Temperature: 70ยฐC – 85ยฐC (Use 80-90ยฐC for glass beds)
- Print Speed: 40 – 60 mm/s (First layer: 20 mm/s)
- Retraction (Direct Drive): 1 – 3 mm at 30-50 mm/s
- Retraction (Bowden): 4 – 6 mm at 40-50 mm/s
- Cooling Fan: 0% – 50% (Low to no fan for strength, up to 50% for overhangs)

Crucial Tips
- Filament Care: PETG is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture; store in a dry box, especially if stringing occurs.
- First Layer Height: Use a slightly higher first layer (e.g., 0.24mm) with less squish than PLA, as PETG prefers to be laid down rather than squashed.
- Stringing Management: If strings are excessive, increase retraction or reduce temperature slightly.
- Safety: If using a stock Ender 3 with PTFE tubing, keep temperatures below 240ยฐC-250ยฐC to avoid releasing toxic fumes.ย
