Enjoy the high durability of carbon fibre with the smooth printing of PLA! This 1kg of Creality CR-PLA Carbon Filament is technically still PLA, but reinforced with milled carbon fibers, doubling the strength of your favourite polymer. Small carbon fibres within the PLA essentially grab hold of the surrounding plastic, in a similar way to how mesh and stones act in cement. Your 3D prints stay firm and strong while allowing for a minuscule amount of bending and stretching. Because these fibers are so strong, the filament increases dramatically in impact strength and stiffness. Your 3D-printed parts will be much lighter and more dimensionally stable, as the fibers will help prevent shrinking of the part as it cools.

Durable Smooth Prints with 1kg Creality CR-PLA Carbon Filament

  • Natural Black – This CR-PLA Carbon is black, a natural dark colour for creating sleek 3D prints. Black is a fantastic choice for showing off your model’s details and can be a discrete option for electronic housings and other functional parts.
  • 1kg Roll of 1.75mm Filament – Made to the 1.75mm standard diameter, this roll offers 1kg of quality PLA Carbon for fun, durable printing with all-metal hotend setups.
  • Reinforced with Carbon Fibres – This PLA-based filament contains carbon fibres, significantly increasing its strength, durability, and hardness as well as gaining excellent chemical and weather resistance.
  • PLA-Based Smooth Printing – While still requiring a tougher nozzle and up to 230°C printing temperatures, this carbon fibre filament leverages it’s PLA based makeup for easier feeding and minimal warping.
  • Wide Compatibility – While optimised best for Creality CR series printers, their quality CR-PLA Carbon is compatible with any modern 3D printer that can easily print PLA carbon fibre filaments.

Additional Note: Although this filament is based on PLA, the carbon fibre additives used are quite abrasive, and as such, we recommend equipping your 3D printer with a more durable nozzle like a hardened steel nozzle, a plated brass nozzle, or an A2 tool steel nozzle, as well as the ultimate in durability, the Vanadium Nozzles, which will all be able to handle this filament with ease, while also offering slightly improved printing qualities for other filaments too.
