Creality Filament – ABS – Blue
Creality Filament – ABS – Blue
Key Technical Data & Printing Parameters
- Diameter: 1.75mm (tolerance
0.02mm to
0.03mm)
- Nozzle Temperature: 220-270ยฐC (230-270ยฐC for Hyper ABS)
- Bed Temperature: 90-120ยฐC (100ยฐC recommended)
- Print Surface: Requires strong adhesion (e.g., Kapton tape, ABS juice, hairspray)
- Cooling Fan: Turned OFF (or very low)
- Environment: Enclosed printer strongly recommended to prevent warping
- Tensile Strength: Approx. 43MPaย
Key Characteristics
- High Strength & Heat Tolerance: Ideal for functional and mechanical components.
- Low Odor & Low Warping: Specially formulated to minimize the common downsides of ABS printing.
- Quality Consistency: Low risk of clogging, consistent diameter, and minimal bubbles.
- Finish: Produces a durable, matte surface that is easy to sand and paint.ย
Common Uses
- Engineering components.
- Functional, high-stress prototypes.
- Outdoor or high-temperature items due to good heat resistance.ย
Tips for Success
- Enclosure Needed: Due to high shrinkage rates, a fully enclosed printer is necessary to prevent warping or splitting.
- Adhesion: Ensure the bed is hot and clean. Using “ABS juice” (ABS dissolved in acetone) or specialized adhesive aids success.
- Post-Processing: ABS prints can be smoothed with acetone vapor for a glossy finish.ย
