1. Overview & Agreement

This website is operated by FJ3Design. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to FJ3Design. By visiting our site or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including our Privacy and Return Policies.

2. Electronic Communications and Transactions (ECTA) Disclosures

In compliance with the South African ECTA, we provide the following information:

  • Physical Address: Shop 4 Euro Spar Centre, Cnr General Hertzog Rd & Assegaai St, Three Rivers, Vereeniging, 1929.

  • Collections: Local pickups are strictly by appointment or during posted business hours.

  • Main Business: Retail of 3D printers, parts, and consumables.

3. Online Store & Product Usage

  • Eligibility: By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province.

  • Usage: You may not use our products for any illegal purpose.

  • Safety Warning: 3D printing involves high temperatures and moving parts. FJ3Design is not liable for any injury or property damage resulting from the use or misuse of hardware or materials purchased from us.

4. Shipping, Delivery & Collection

  • Address Accuracy: The customer is solely responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including the correct suburb and postal code. Our system uses The Courier Guy API to generate shipping labels based exactly on the information provided at checkout.

  • Liability for Errors: FJ3Design shall not be held liable for any loss, delays, or additional costs (such as re-routing fees) incurred due to incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the client.

  • Failed Delivery: If a parcel is returned to us because of an incorrect address or the recipient being unavailable, the client will be responsible for the cost of the return and any subsequent redelivery fees.

  • Local Collection: If “Local Pickup” is selected, the client agrees to collect the order from our physical address in Three Rivers. Risk of loss passes to the client once the order is handed over.

  • Risk of Loss: Once an order has been collected from our premises by The Courier Guy, the risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the client.

5. Accuracy of Pricing & Loadshedding Clause

  • Price Changes: Prices for our products are subject to change without notice due to exchange rate fluctuations.

  • Loadshedding & Power Surges: FJ3Design is not liable for failed prints, clogged nozzles, or hardware damage caused by power outages, load shedding, or electricity surges. We highly recommend using a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and surge protection for all electronic equipment.

6. Accuracy of Billing & Account Information

We reserve the right to refuse any order. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order. This includes cases of obvious pricing errors or stock inaccuracies. In the event of an order change or cancellation, we will notify you via the email or phone number provided.

7. Cooling-Off Period & Returns

  • 7-Day Window: In accordance with the ECTA, you are entitled to cancel your purchase within 7 days of receipt for any reason.

  • Conditions: Goods must be returned to FJ3Design in their original, unopened packaging at the customer’s expense. A refund will be processed once items are inspected and confirmed to be in a resalable condition.

  • Exclusions: Opened filament, used nozzles, or modified hardware cannot be returned under the cooling-off period.

8. Warranty & Repairs

All hardware carries a standard 6-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects as per the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by power surges or lightning.

  • Normal wear and tear on “consumable” parts (nozzles, PTFE tubes, bed surfaces).

  • Damage caused by third-party firmware or unapproved hardware modifications.

9. Protection of Personal Information (POPIA)

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

  • We only collect data necessary for processing your order and communicating with you.

  • Your data is stored securely and will never be sold to third parties.

  • By using this site, you consent to the processing of your data for the fulfillment of your order.

10. Prohibited Uses

In addition to other prohibitions, you are prohibited from using the site or its content:

  • For any unlawful purpose.

  • To infringe upon our intellectual property rights (including 3D models or designs provided by FJ3Design).

  • To upload viruses or malicious code or to “scrape” data for commercial purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability

FJ3Design does not guarantee that your use of our service will be uninterrupted or error-free. In no case shall FJ3Design, our directors, or employees be liable for any injury, loss, or claim, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of any of the services or products procured from us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
